Transfer pricing dispute settled
Pharmaceutical company AstraZeneca has settled a transfer pricing issue with HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC). Under the agreement, AstraZeneca will pay HMRC £505m to resolve claims relating to this issue for the fifteen year period from 1996 to 2010. The parties had jointly referred the long-running dispute to the UK Tax Court and the case was due to be heard later in the year.
Frontier (Europe) Director Simon Gaysford was instructed by HMRC as an economics expert.
