EU launches consultation into retail sector
The European Commission has today published "Towards more efficient and fairer retail services in the internal market for 2020". The Commission is launching a public consultation on the report. This aims to establish whether there are barriers in the way of a successful retail industry in Europe and to determine future policy priorities for the Commission. The responses will feed into measures that the Commission will propose in the autumn as part of the Single Market Act. The deadline for consultation responses is 10 September 2010.
