Nick Aked

Nick has over 25 years of economics consultancy experience advising client in the electricity and gas sectors.  He has worked in particular on the liberalization of these sectors in Europe, and the commercial and regulatory issues arising, starting with the restructuring and reform programme in the UK. Since 2000 he has been responsible for the design and implementation of virtual power plant and gas release auctions in Belgium, France, Germany and Spain. Outside Europe he advised on power sector reform in Brazil, Colombia, Indonesia and Morocco.  His recent work includes the preparation of expert testimony in a number of arbitration disputes and an assessment of markets for energy services.

Prior to joining Frontier, he was a senior member of the utilities strategy team at PricewaterhouseCoopers  and subsequently at IBM Business Consulting.
