Postcomm submits evidence on the universal service to independent review
Postcomm today concluded its second submission to the independent review of the postal service sector, focusing on how to maintain a universal mail service.
Frontier (Europe) carried out a study on behalf of Postcomm, which investigated the net cost of particular elements of Royal Mail's universal mail service. Elements assessed included the maintaining of a six day service and a first class mail product with high quality of service. Postcomm commissioned the report to help inform the debate, which was initiated by its Strategy Review of August 2007, about what sort of universal service would meet the needs of today's customers.
