Matt is a member of Frontier’s Energy Practice, and leads Frontier’s Climate Change work in Australia. He has advised clients on topics that include emissions trading scheme (ETS) design and impacts, carbon cost pass-through, carbon permit allocations issues, and the market effects of renewable energy policies.
Matt has extensive experience modelling wholesale energy markets in Australia and Europe. This has typically been to understand the costs of climate change policies, the resulting implications for market investment and price effects, and to identify market entry opportunities.
His recent clients include AGL, Macquarie Generation, Babcock and Brown, Centrica, Elia, Nuon and various Australian Government departments.
