Dutch energy regulator publishes decision of transmission price control
The Dutch energy regulator, Dte, has published its method decision on the future price control for electricity transmission tariffs of the Dutch Transmission System Operator, Tennet. DTe's decision is supported by a range of emprical studies.
On behalf of DTe, Frontier (London) investigated the appropriate cost of capital of Tennet, taking into account of evidence on the cost of capital of energy network companies around the world, as well as the specifics of electricity transmission operation in the Netherlands. This study follows other reports by Frontier into the cost of capital in network activities such as gas transmission, broadband cables, mobile communication etc.
