Cave Review of water markets publishes interim report
Today, the Cave Review of competition and innovation in water markets published its interim report, recommending that the Government introduces legislation to allow over 162,000 large public and private sector organisations in England and Wales choose their water and sewerage retailer for the first time. The Review also advises that retail divisions of water companies are made legally independent from their network businesses. The final report is due to be published in spring 2009.
Frontier (Europe) advised the Water Industry Commission for Scotland and Scottish Water on the calculation of wholesale water and wastewater tariffs as part of the introduction of retail competition in Scotland.
