UK Competition Commission provisional decision that BAA sells three UK airports
The UK Competition Commission (CC) today published its provisional decision on remedies as part of its investigation into BAA’s airports.
The CC has provisionally decided that to address competition concerns at BAA’s airports a number of structural and behavioural remedies are required. The structural remedies include requiring BAA to divest Gatwick and Stansted airports to different purchasers and to divest Edinburgh airport. Interested parties have until 9 January 2009 to express views on the provisional decision.
