Regulating future energy networks - Utility Week article
Utility Week has today published an
article by Dan Roberts and Sarah Deasley of Frontier (Europe) on the challenges of incentivising networks to cope with future challenges, including climate change and the development of "smart grids". The article considers how regulators can incentivise network owners to trade-off investment and active management, and how regulators can decide whether network owners or other parties are best placed to bear the risks caused by uncertainty about what networks will need to look like in future.
