Wynne has over 25 years of economics consultancy experience advising clients, principally in utilities and other network industries. He has focussed particularly on competition, commercial and regulatory issues associated with liberalisation. He was involved from the very beginning of UK reform in the early 1980s and was responsible for the first ever report to suggest power generation could be organised as a competitive activity. Since then he has gained very broad international experience, advising in some 40 countries. He has worked extensively as an expert witness. In recent years Wynne has advised extensively on auctions in energy, telecoms and public sector procurement. For example, he has been the leading advisor on EDF's multi billion euro capacity release auctions.
Prior to joining Frontier, Wynne was the partner in charge of Coopers & Lybrand's economics practice.
Subsequently, he led PwC's European utilities consultancy practice and was a member of PwC's Global Management Team.
