Jason Mann

Jason is a manager in the Energy Practice.  He is an energy sector economist and an expert in energy market restructuring and wholesale market design.  He has worked extensively for UK and international clients focussing particularly on wholesale electricity and gas market trading arrangements, the regulation of electricity and gas businesses, supply market liberalisation and corporate strategy.

Recently, Jason led a large team of consultant s on a long term assignment for the British energy regulator, Ofgem, to re–design the gas market and regulatory arrangements in the UK necessary to allow the sale of 4 gas distribution networks.  He has also advised the GB regulator on its regulatory strategy for network pricing and the regulatory approach to new infrastructure such as LNG.

Internationally, Jason has advised clients on energy regulatory issues in Northern Europe, Italy, Ireland, Romania, Singapore, Australia, Brazil and the US.
