Frontier presents to European Switches Forum

This week, Mark Falcon, Manager Frontier (London), presented a paper to the European Switches Forum in Brussels - on competition in the European payments market and implications for development of the Single Euro Payments Area (SEPA).

SEPA is a project led by banks and other financial service providers, the European Commission, and European Central Bank.  Its objective is to make cross-border payments as easy for consumers and businesses as domestic payments.  It will cover all types of payment - cash, credit/debit cards, direct debits/direct credits, and cheques.  It aims to allow Europe-wide banking from a single bank account.

The European Switches Forum is a discussion group for payment systems, retailers, and financial regulators.
