Competition Commission proposes to accept undertakings in the Dräger Medical A

In its earlier report, the Commission found that the proposed merger between Dräger and Air-Shields could be expected to result in a substantial lessening of competition in the markets for Closed Care Incubators, Open Care Warming Beds and Transport Incubators. To mitigate the potential adverse effects, the Commission has sought undertakings in relation to: the range of products and accessories to be made available to the UK market; servicing, training and spare parts to be provided to customers; and retail price control of products, accessories, spare parts, training and servicing supplied to customers. The Commission has now agreed such undertakings with the parties. Frontier advised Dräger during the inquiry. More information on the inquiry is available from the Commission's website.
