Jose Maria Rodriguez joins Frontier Economics

Frontier (Europe) today announced that Jose Maria Rodriguez has joined Frontier Economics to lead Frontier’s consulting work in the telecommunications, postal and regulation fields in Spain and other Spanish speaking countries. José María earned his BA in economics from University Complutense in Madrid, where he specialized in microeconomic theory and econometrics. He also has an MA in industrial economics, with a specialization in telecommunications, from Carlos III University in Madrid. Prior to joining Frontier, José María has worked mainly in the telecommunications sector, providing advice on general regulatory strategy and on specific topics such as interconnection and universal service cost modeling, price cap regulation, X estimation, local loop unbundling (designing incumbent's regulatory strategy and cost estimation), and competition policy issues for mobile and fixed operators in Spain, North Africa, and South America. He has also advised postal operators in the calculation of the universal service cost burden, the development of cost accounting methodologies, and in competition policy issues.

Jose Maria will be part of Frontier’s Madrid based team, which will work closely with the firm's London, Brussels and Cologne offices to provide clients with a comprehensive service at both a national and a European level.
