Wynne Jones joins as Practice Director

Wynne will be joining Frontier in January 2003 from PricewaterhouseCoopers where he was the partner leading the firm's utility consulting work in Europe, Middle East and Africa. He was previously a partner with Coopers & Lybrand, responsible for leading their UK Energy, Water and Transport Business Strategy and Policy Group. Wynne has wide experience advising clients in the power, gas, water and transport sectors; particularly in Europe and the Americas. Much of his recent work has been advising clients on electricity auctions. Examples include advising MAE, the market operator in Brazil, on the auction of electricity contracts and leading a large team which has been assisting Electricit頤e France in fulfilling its undertaking to the EC to implement a generating capacity release programme. Other examples of his work include leading teams which advised on the reform of the power sectors in Brazil, Eire, Portugal,Venezuela and elsewhere, and the development of electricity markets in Austria, Germany, Spain and Scotland. Wynne has also been an expert witness in cases ranging from airport pricing in the UK through to port pricing in New Zealand.
