Universal Service Obligation in the Bahamas

Frontier (London) won a contract to assist the Public Utilities Commission (PUC) in The Bahamas with support in the development of the definition of the USO, the approach to calculating the USO cost and ADCs (Access Deficit Contributions), and the development of a USO Fund. Frontier is working closely with the PUC and the incumbent operator to develop a methodology appropriate for this country, composed of about 700 islands, that is in the process of privatising its incumbent telecommunications operator.
