Financing the Botswana telecommunications regulator

The Botswana Telecommunications Authority (BTA) is an independent regulator with an international reputation for its independence and the quality of its decisions. The way in which the authority is financed is an important element of this independence, and the BTA, in common with many regulators, is financed through an industry levy. A team led by Frontier has been invited to review how this levy is set and recommend improvements for the financing arrangements for the institution.
