José Carbajo joins Frontier Economics

Frontier (Europe) today announced that it is expanding its European practice.  José Carbajo has joined Frontier to expand its capabilities in the transport and contract design areas, as well as to develop Frontier's work in Spain, Portugal and Latin America.

José is an infrastructure economist.  He has worked in academia and in multilateral development banks in the appraisal of investment projects and the design of infrastructure policies and investments.  His areas of expertise include cost-benefit analysis, transport pricing, road sector policies, railway reform, motor vehicle air pollution and infrastructure public-private partnerships (PPPs).  Before joining Frontier, José worked at the University of Valencia, the University of London (Queen Mary College), the World Bank, the European Commission and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), where he has been Director for Strategy and Policy Development in the Infrastructure Business Group.  José has advised governments, public enterprises and private clients in Spain, Central and Eastern Europe, and Latin America.  José earned his PhD in Economics from the London School of Economics, and has published in academic and professional journals on topics ranging from the economic analysis of transport policies and transport related air pollution, infrastructure reform in transition economies and private participation in infrastructure.
