Sri Lanka to establish multi-sector regulator
The Public Interest Program Unit of the Government of Sri Lanka has appointed Frontier (London), together with Denton Wilde Sapte, to advise on the establishment of a new multi-sector regulator for infrastructure industries. Legislation is expected to be presented to Parliament later this year. This follows on from a previous report by Frontier, which recommended the adoption of a multi-sector regulator in order to minimise the need to draw on skills which are in short supply in Sri Lanka and to promote consistency of approach across regulated industries.
