International workshops on telecommunications in Brussels

As part of an EU funded project, a series of international workshops on telecommunications took place in Brussels over the period Mar 3rd – 13th. Frontier (London) delivered two workshops to an audience of the regulatory authorities from 10 countries in the MEDA region (North Africa and the Middle East). The workshops aimed at bringing the regulatory standards in the MEDA region closer to the standards currently applied in Europe. The first of the workshops focused on the use of competition based assessment as the basis for regulation and provided the relevant tools for regulators to undertake such assessment. The second workshop focused on best practice application of regulatory accounting requirements.
