Dr Robert Bartels

Bob has over 25 years experience in applying econometric and statistical methods to problems in business and government. He has carried out a large number of demand studies in the utility sector, including the development of end-use forecasting models and the estimation of the demand response to dynamic pricing. Other areas of expertise include the use of econometrics and statistics in trade practices cases, efficiency analysis for benchmarking, and the analysis of micro-level sales data.

Prior to joining Frontier Economics in 2006 to head Frontier’s econometrics practice, Bob held various full-time academic positions at the University of Sydney, including Head of the School of Business and Professor in Econometrics and Business Statistics. He has published widely in international academic journals, and is an Emeritus Professor at the University of Sydney and an elected member of the International Statistical Institute.
