UK government gives go ahead for new nuclear development

The UK government has given the go ahead for nuclear power to play a major role in our future energy mix and has invited energy companies to "bring forward plans to build and operate new nuclear power stations".  This is a major part of a global renaissance in the nuclear industry, with a number of countries looking to develop new plant.
