Electricity licences in Kazhakstan

New pricing arrangements are being developed for the various infrastructure services in Kazhakstan, beginning with the electricity sector. The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and the Government of Kazhakstan have hired Frontier (London) to provided on-going support to the Kazhakstan's competition commission (the AMA) in its development of appropriate pricing formulae to go into the licenses of the electricity providers. This project will include detailed development of license conditions, pricing formula as well as undertaking an example price review under the newly recommended framework and providing on-going training to the commission.
