EDF continues capacity release auction

EDF continued its capacity release programme with its 26th VPP auction held on the 5th December 2007. EDF offered a total of 866 MW, comprising 611 MW of baseload and 255 MW of peakload VPPs. The auction  attracted a large number of bidders interested in acquiring energy delivered in France. More detail on the capacity release programme and the last auction can be found on EDF's website. Frontier continues to advise EDF on both the VPP auctions and the associated arrangements such as the recently revised VPP Nominaiton and Delivery Code.
