Frontier has extensive experience in advising retail financial organisations and insurance companies on a range of competition, strategic and regulatory issues.

We have assisted a number of banks and insurers through every stage of UK and European competition inquiries, and we have helped multi-national financial retailers through competition authority merger reviews. We have also undertaken full-scale strategic reviews for a number of banks, as well as having provided strategic advice on specific issues.

We have also advised major payment networks on their commercial and regulatory strategy, and we advise financial institutions and regulators on business-wide issues in financial services, including financial performance, benchmarking, competition, and strategy.

Our advice is not just theoretical – we help our clients to take a more structured approach to using financial and customer evidence, better understand the root cause of changes in business performance, and, in turn, improve the corporate decision-making process.

We have helped several financial organisations with state-of-the-art, detailed, financial analyses of their businesses. This has included identifying value drivers and the source of value creation, customer lifetime value modelling, improving financial management information including identifying and measuring key performance indicators, and financial analysis to assist with proposition design.

We have also helped a number of banks and insurers to improve their customer insights. This has helped to increase the understanding of what drives value in the business and assisted with proposition design.

And we have considerable experience in advising other clients in their dealings with the financial community, on issues as diverse as investment appraisals, analysing the cost of raising capital from banks and capital markets, and sale and leaseback arrangements.
