Commission for Aviation Regulation publishes first airport price control

The new Irish regulatory body for aviation has published its proposals for regulated charges for airlines at the three main airports in Ireland. Frontier (London) has been advising the largest user of these airports, Aer Lingus, throughout the consultation process. The draft proposals incorporate many of the suggestions made in Aer Lingus's responses to the Commission's earlier consultations, notably a reduction in capital expenditure plans, increased requirements for efficiency savings and the rejection of the airport operator's proposals to separate commercial and aeronautical revenues. All documents relating to the price control process, including the responses of Aer Lingus to earlier consultation papers, are available on the Commission's website.
