The future of the UK water industry

Dan Elliott, from Frontier's London office, was guest speaker at a meeting of the Institute of Water Officers held at the offices of Mid Kent Water. Dan's talk examined the trends in regulation, competition and finance in the water industry and looked at the likely development of the sector over the next five to ten years. Dan focused on the pressures that are making companies look at separating the ownership and operation of their assets, the move to more highly geared utilities and the role of separation of supply from distribution in the development of a competitive water sector.
