Competition Commission investigates chlorine merger

Today, the UK Competition Commission (CC) announced that it would investigate the proposed acquisition by BOC of INEOS's chlorine packaging and distribution business.  Packaged chlorine is used for water disinfection and chemical intermediate treatments.  The CC is expected to report in November.
