DTe consults on regulation of gas flexibility services

DTe, the Dutch energy regulator, today invited market parties to respond to its consultation on regulation of gas flexibility services.  The consultation is part of DTe’s assessment of whether the NMa’s 2005 decision to regulate flexibility services provided by GTS should be extended beyond 2008.

As part of the assessment DTe is looking at whether GasTerra will hold a dominant position in the market(s) for flexibility services after 2008.  Frontier (London & Cologne) is assisting DTe with the assessment of dominance and has carried out a study focusing on the position of GasTerra in the market(s) for gas flexibility services.  DTe today published the study report with provisional conclusions.
