EDF holds latest virtual power plant (VPP) auction
EDF continued its capacity release programme with its 27th VPP auction held on the 27th February 2008. The aim of the auction was to make available 1356 MW VPP generation capacity commencing in April 2008, comprising 1066 MW of base-load VPPs and 290 MW of peak-load VPPs. Frontier (Europe) continues to advise EDF on both the VPP auctions and the associated arrangements.
