Water companies prepare Draft Business Plans
Water and sewerage companies in England and Wales are preparing to submit their Draft Business Plans to the regulator (Ofwat). The Business Plans set out the proposed investment strategies of the companies over the next five years and the appropriate price limits required to finance that investment whilst maintaining service levels. Once submitted, the draft plans will be subject to scrutiny and challenge by the regulator. Companies will then be asked to submit Final Business Plans in spring 2009.
