New German Electricity Handbook

Recent changes to the institutional arrangements in the German energy market have prompted a fundamental redraft of the Practical Handbook of the Electricity Industry ("Praxishandbuch Stromwirtschaft").  The 1500 page new release of the handbook - edited by Peter Salje (Hanover University), Michael Bartsch (E.ON), Andreas Röhling and Ulrich Scholz (both of Freshfields) - covers recent policy reforms including changes to energy competition law, the introduction of incentive regulation for energy networks and changes to environmental policy and to the rules of the energy retail market.

As with the first edition, the introductory chapters covering the general economic and regulatory conditions in the market have been prepared by Christoph Riechmann and other staff of Frontier's European Energy Practice.
