Baroness Hogg ranked amongst Europe's 25 most successful businesswomen

Baroness Hogg is a former journalist who moved into politics and went on to become head of the Downing Street Policy Unit under John Major. She was deputy chairman of 3i until January, when she was named chairman, becoming the first woman chairman of a FTSE 100 company.She is also chairman of Frontier Economics Ltd (London), a regulatory and competition advisory firm she co-founded in 1999. Frontier last year worked on projects involving regulation of competition in the auto industry, airport price controls, greenhouse gases, and skill shortages in the public-sector labor market.Baroness Hogg is a member of the House of Lords Select Committee on Economic Affairs and a governor of the BBC. She is also a director of GKN and P&O and chairman of the Foreign & Colonial Smaller Companies Trust.
