E-Control implements incentive-driven regulatory regime
The Austrian energy regulator E-Control and the association of electricity companies in Austria (VE jointly agreed on the implementation of an incentive-driven regulatory regime that is based on a benchmarking analysis of the electricity distribution network operators. The regime will enable customers to benefit from lower tariffs and reward network operators for efficiency improvements. Frontier Economics (London and Cologne) advised E-Control on the implementation of the benchmarking analysis. The model was developed in close collaboration with the industry.
