Third power transmission and distribution forum - Dubai

The Third Power Transmission and Distribution Forum for the Middle East (organised by IIR) was recently held in Dubai. The Forum brings together regional and international experts in the development of interconnected electricity markets in the region and their regulation, engineering and financing. William Derbyshire of Frontier Economics presented on the measurement and control of transmission and distribution costs from a regulatory perspective, including the use of Data Envelopment Analysis to benchmark international comparators with the Saudi Electricity Company being used as an example.
