Extended Warranties monopoly inquiry deadline extended to 30th September

The Trade and Industry Sectretary has agreed a request from the Competition Commission (CC) for a three month extension to the deadline for reporting on the Extended Warranties Inquiry. In a statement, the Chairman of the Commission, Sir Derek Morris, noted that extending the deadline would help all parties, as it was important that the CC tailor its recommendations to the complexities of the market.
