Danail is a Senior Consultant in Frontier’s public policy practice. He is an expert in labour markets, including skills, migration and employment.
Danail has worked for the Migration Advisory Committee, the Department for Education, Department for Business, Innovation and Skills and a range of public bodies helping them to better understand labour markets and their implications for policy decisions. That includes issues such as how migration has changed the composition of the British workforce, the impact of a range of vocational and training programmes on employment and benefits claims and the drivers of youth unemployment in Europe. He is an accomplished quantitative modeller and econometrician and his work often involves combining big data sets in order to trace the impact of particular interventions (e.g. training, taxation, migration status) on employment outcomes. This includes simulation modelling work to investigate the potential impacts of tax and other changes on individuals, businesses and the wider economy.
