Christoph Riechmann

Christoph is a Director in the Energy Practice and also heads the offices in Berlin and Cologne.

He provides regulation, competition, transaction related advice and dispute support predominantly to energy sector clients across Europe. He regularly acts as expert in public hearings and court proceedings. Within Frontier he is also responsible for the integration of the European Frontier offices.

Christoph has over 20 years of consulting experience in the energy sector where he has advised a number of leading energy organisations. This includes major and medium sized European energy companies (including E.ON, Engie, RWE, Verbund) and industry associations in a host of European countries. Christoph also advises a variety of public offices, including the European Commission, and energy authorities in Germany, Austria, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Belgium and Luxemburg (BNetzA, E-Control, ACM, BFE/Elcom, CREG and ILR, respectively) and the German Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs (BMWi).

Christoph also has regulation and competition experience in sectors such as transport, post, telecoms, chemicals and consumer durables.

Christoph holds a Doctoral Degree in Economics from Cologne University and Economics degrees from Glasgow University and Justus-Liebig-University Giessen/Germany.
