Cavin Wilson

Cavin works to provide answers and insights across a range of policy areas with a focus on fairness and climate change.

He combines quantitative and econometric skills with a genuine passion for economics and an ability to inject original thinking into the conversation. He works to deliver pragmatic solutions to unstructured problems and is relied upon to explain complex economic concepts in plain English. Recent examples of his work include analysing the intergenerational fairness implications of the BBC licence concession, advising the European Investment Bank on decarbonising the aviation sector and modelling the impact of minimum wages on inflation.

Besides his work in consulting, he has ten years of experience managing people and projects for the government and not-for-profit sector in Australia, Canada, the UAE and Afghanistan.

He holds degrees in economics from Cambridge and the Australian National University, and an underused PADI open-water diving qualification.
