Fernando Louge

Fernando is an experienced consultant in competition and economic regulation matters, with a particular focus on the transport sector.

He is based in Brussels and supports clients across Europe.

Fernando specialises in complex economic analysis and quantitative modelling. He has recently advised Lufthansa on the acquisition of certain Air Berlin assets and FirstGroup on obtaining merger clearance for operating the South Western rail franchise in the UK. Fernando led a study on the economic impact of Brexit on behalf of a number of European airlines, including easyJet, IAG, Ryanair and TUI Group. He is currently advising a truck manufacturer in relation to follow-on damages litigation.

Before becoming a consultant, he worked as a post-doctoral researcher in mathematical economics in Germany.

Fernando holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and graduated from Universidad de San Andrés (Buenos Aires, Argentina) with a Magister in Economics.
