Raphael Flore

Raphael works in the energy and competition practice, with a particular focus on projects in the area of finance.

Having expertise in many different fields (microeconomics, financial economics, public finance, mathematics), he is able to provide support on a broad range of problems.

In his recent projects, Raphael has supported a large European securities exchange in a merger process and has assisted an energy company in planning the socially compatible phase-out of the coal-based generation of electricity. In addition, he regularly advises companies and public authorities on financial questions in the energy sector. 

Before starting at Frontier Economics in 2019, he completed a PhD in Financial Economics at the University of Cologne. His research addressed capital costs and  liquidity in financial intermediation. Furthermore, Raphael has a mathematical background and also holds a PhD in Theoretical Physics from the University of Jena.
