Goran is an Associate Director in our Telecommunications team and specialises in competition and regulatory issues such as abuse of dominance, mergers and acquisitions, state aid, spectrum auctions, and regulatory market reviews. Goran is registered with the Czech Ministry of Justice as an Expert Witness specialising in Competition Economics.
Goran has worked on a range of large-scale international telecommunications projects across the UK, Western and Central Eastern Europe and the Middle East. He has advised clients on various competition law and regulatory issues, including high profile abuse of dominance investigations (e.g. Slovak Telekom), merger assessments (e.g. Vodafone-Liberty Global) and market reviews (e.g. deregulation of Romanian broadband markets). Goran has acted as an economic expert in private litigation cases in front of the European courts (e.g. follow on damages claims in TMT and digital markets).
Goran is fluent in English, German, Czech/Slovak and Serbo-Croatian and holds postgraduate degrees in Economics from Ludwig Maximilian University in Munich and Charles University in Prague. Prior to joining Frontier, Goran worked for McKinsey & Co.
