Carlos Javier López Tris

In his time at Frontier, Carlos has worked across the Strategy, Energy, Telecommunications, and Competition practices providing rigorous economic analysis to help public and private entities tackle their most pressing challenges.

His work has combined data analysis, econometric and experimentation techniques, economic reasoning, and creative problem solving. Recent examples of Carlos’ work include conducting quantitative analyses to assess the potential modification of the Spanish Railway System Law and advising the Colombian Electricity Distributors’ Association on the effect of digitalization on market design. Carlos has a particular interest in behavioural and experimental economics, which he has applied to the development of financial products, which foster energy efficiency renovations and help other energy policy issues.

Before joining Frontier, Carlos worked as a Research Assistant in applied microeconomics and in the development economics consultancy sector. He holds a BSc in Economics from the University of Zaragoza and a MSc in Economics with a specialisation in applied microeconomics and behavioural economics from the Barcelona School of Economics.
