Shaping Europe’s digital future through antitrust & regulation

Frontier’s David Foster will join a panel discussing “Shaping Europe’s digital future through antitrust & regulation” at the GCR Connect Law Leaders Europe conference on Monday 12 July.

The panel will look at the proposed Digital Markets Act (“DMA”) and Digital Services Act.

Dave will look at issues including: whether the presumption that self-preferencing is an inherently harmful conduct is valid from an economic point of view; whether there should be a role for efficiencies in the DMA and how and where they should be incorporated; and how to turn the DMA obligations into a set of more economically coherent rules.

Dave will be joined by panellists Isabelle de Silva (President, France Competition Authority), Tim Lamb (Competition and Regulatory – EMEAR Director, Facebook) and Anne-Claire Hoyng (Director Global Competition and Consumer law, Booking.com). The panel will be moderated by Benoit Durand (RBB Economics).
