Frontier’s Cologne office were delighted to host this year’s 55th FIW conference.
The conference, centred around competition law, took place over two days. Our Cologne office welcomed seven speakers and more than 20 attendees. Speakers included Partners from international law firms and a representative from the German Federal Cartel Office.
Mette Alfter, Director in Frontier’s competition practice and head of Frontier’s Brussels office, and Marius Benden, Consultant at Frontier, spoke at the conference on damage estimation in cartel litigation cases.
Mette and Marius provided an overview of recent developments in cartel litigation in Germany from a competition economics perspective. They shared insights on the economic approach to estimating cartel damages, illustrated practical challenges and discussed the economic implications of recent changes in German cartel law.
