Abbas is a Manager in Frontier’s Energy practice and has a wide range of experience with electricity market modelling and conducting impact assessment of energy market design elements.
At Frontier, Abbas has advised a broad mix of public and private clients – working both for energy market regulators to help design energy market policy, and alongside private sector clients to develop their strategic response to various policy changes and evaluating transaction opportunities. He has been engaged to provide clients with electricity market due diligence and transactional support in various European markets.
Prior to joining Frontier, Abbas was at London Economics International (LEI) in the United States. At LEI, he worked as an energy consultant with a particular focus on electricity markets advising private sector clients, market institutions, and governments on asset valuation, market power, and strategy in energy markets across North and South America. Prior to LEI, Abbas worked for Cornerstone Research, providing economic and financial analysis in commercial disputes and litigation proceedings.
Abbas graduated from Yale University with a degree in Economics and Mathematics, and completed an MPA in International Finance and Economics at Columbia University.
