Monica Gambarin

Monica works as a Senior Principal in Madrid and has extensive experience advising clients in competition, telecoms and digital platforms.

In competition, she advises clients on a range of antitrust issues, with a focus on merger cases and abuse of dominance. She has worked extensively in digital platforms topics and AI in the context of merger control and antitrust investigations. 

In telecoms, she has experience in regulation and ex-post policy. She was involved in market reviews, investigations of anti-competitive practices and merger work, across both fixed and mobile telecommunication markets. 

She has experience before the European Commission, national competition authorities and telecoms regulators, particularly in Spain, Latam and Italy.

Monica studied a Master’s degree in Economics of Public Policy at Pompeu Fabra University and a Bachelor degree in Economics at Bocconi University. She is a native Italian speaker, as well as a fluent English and Spanish speaker. She speaks an intermediate level of German and Portuguese.
