Phil works in Frontier’s financial services practice, advising organisations on transfer pricing, competition, and regulatory issues.
He specialises in dispute and litigation support, and advises tax authorities and firms on global transfer pricing matters. Recent cases have involved work in sectors including asset management, energy trading, mining, insurance, and FMCG. He also advises clients in the financial services sector on a range of European and domestic regulatory issues, including investigations by sector and competition regulators. His recent regulatory work has focussed on consumer fairness, reforms to UK retail banking product markets, and the implications of Open Banking and PSD2 implementation.
Before joining Frontier, Phil worked for the Government Economic Service, working for HMRC and advising on the formulation of UK tax policy. Other Government work included advising on competition and regulation in legal services. Phil holds an MSc from University College London.
