Michael advises companies, policy makers and regulators in the European energy sector on competition, regulation and market design.
His experience of working for industry members, policy makers and regulators from various countries gives Michael a unique insight with clear perspectives of both sides of the market. Michael has provided dispute support and competition assessments in merger proceedings. Michael is an expert in market design and has led several projects on the design of auctions for renewable energies. He joined Frontier in 2008 from the Bonn Graduate School of Economics where he was enrolled as a Ph.D. student and his main area of research was auction theory.
