Pedro Avello Gorostidi

Pedro is a Consultant working across energy and telecommunication practices.

In the field of energy, Pedro combines his economic expertise with strong data-handling skills to contribute to the projects. He has experience in electricity market design, litigation, due diligence, energy modelling and regulation.

Recent projects include designing a methodology to estimate the costs of gas rationing, analysing the electricity technical constraint market and a proposal to the regulator on changes to natural gas infrastructure regulation.

In the field of telecommunications, Pedro has worked in several market reviews and accounting separation exercises. He also has experience in competition related issues and damage estimation.

Pedro is currently studying the Master’s Degree in the Electric Power Industry at ICAI, and holds degrees in Economics and Global Studies from Universitat Pompeu Fabra and an MSc in Economics from Toulouse School of Economics.

He is a native Spanish and Basque speaker and is fluent in English, French, German and Catalan. Pedro has recently done a 4 month secondment in the Cologne office.
